Certification Platform Notes
Depending on the carrier, PY2027 certification may be completed through one or more of the following platforms:
A carrier-specific certification completed through one platform does not automatically satisfy the requirements for other carriers. Agents who sell multiple carriers should verify each company's individual requirements — including whether AHIP or NABIP is required in addition to any carrier-specific training — before assuming one certification covers all of them.

A few practical reminders as certification season begins:
Check carrier portals directly. Email announcements are helpful, but the carrier portal is the authoritative source for launch dates and requirements.
Save certification records. Download and store completion certificates as soon as you finish each one.
Confirm what's required. Know whether each carrier requires AHIP, NABIP, or carrier-only certification — and whether they can be completed in either order.
Track status before AEP. Keep a running record of what's complete, what's pending, and what dates are coming up. Don't leave it to memory.
Keep documentation organized. Store certificates and confirmation emails somewhere you can find them quickly if a carrier or upline asks.
Watch for blackout periods. Some carriers — like Humana this year — have blackout windows where certifications cannot be completed. Know the schedule in advance.

AEP preparation starts well before AEP. Completing certifications early gives agents more time to review plan changes, prepare client communications, update workflows, and make sure they are ready to sell when the season begins.
Agents who wait until late summer often run into platform congestion, blackout periods, or carrier-specific deadlines they weren't tracking. Getting certifications done as soon as they open is one of the simplest ways to reduce stress heading into October.
